Part of Great Yarmouth’s Out There International Festival of Circus and Street Arts, France’s Compagnie Bam are one of the country’s rising young circus companies.

Switch brings the circus ring to life with teeterboard, Chinese pole and breathtaking acrobatics.  A fast paced, rock ‘n’ roll circus show packed with humour, driving rhythms, music and singing at the Hippodrome for one night only on Friday 7th September at 7.30pm.

This dynamic young company delivers a potent performance that takes the essential elements of traditional circus and re-energises them, providing a contemporary perspective that will appeal to all the family.

Compagnie Bam was formed from graduates of France’s circus school of Chalon.  Based in Amiens, they are brought to Great Yarmouth by SeaChange Arts’ project PASS which is part of a growing circus partnership between our historic circus towns.

The Hippodrome’s own Summer Spectacular with international artistes and the Water Spectacular is included in the Out There Festival programme for the first time and luckily the French circuses visit coincides with one of the Hippodrome circus day’s off.  Peter Jay said “Great Yarmouth is fast becoming the circus capital of Britain with such a varied lineup of the different multi-faceted types of circus acts, nowhere else in the country can you see such a varied lineup in a couple of days.”
