HIPPODROME SPECTACULAR 2010
Circus impresario Peter Jay launched a one off competition to find the title of his new 2010 Hippodrome Summer Spectacular which starts on 14th July at the historic Great Yarmouth venue.
Acts are already booked for the show, which is rated as Britain’s most popular summer entertainment, and include a stunning Wheel of Death from Colombia that includes incredible forward somersaults, an amazing hand to hand duo balancing act from Poland that Peter describes as ‘world class’, that will feature on a specially built island in the centre of the unique Hippodrome water spectacular, Jack Jay and Johnny Mac, the hilarious hit duo from last year returning with all new comedy in this clown free production, also featured are the award winning Robert Foxhall, the man who can fly, with a brand new cloudswing act over the water, and a hilarious trampoline act full of comedy madness from Russian, Vladimir Georgievsky, plus a team of glamorous dancers, swimmers and aerialists and much more in the, as yet, untitled show.
Peter Jay said “All the family and my associates have been searching for a one word title that demonstrates the spectacular fun, thrills and excitement of this show – but we can’t seem to come up with just the right word, so I’ve decided to put this to the people with a competition to pick the Publics Brain! The winner will get FREE V.I.P family tickets, a signed and framed souvenir poster of the show, and a V.I.P day out at the circus to meet all the artistes. This will be the first time ever in 100 years the Hippodrome has ever done this type of “Name the Show” competition and it will be very interesting to see people’s thoughts, past successful titles have been EXCAPE in 2007, VERTIGO in 2008 and CELEBRATE in 2009. This one word needs to sum up the thrills and excitement of this new show that looks set to be a classic! And will guarantee the winner a place in the circus history of the Hippodrome.”

Everyday including Sunday at 2.30pm & 7.30pm, (no 2.30pm show on Fridays) Except no shows on Sept 6th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 16th, & 17th, no 2.30pm show on Wed 14th July
No 7.30pm shows on Sept 7th, 12th & 19th.
