‘In To The ASLYUM’
With some of the world’s most daring acts and history’s most Peculiar oddities-
The Circus of Horrors is back with a brand new show. Blending Horror and Burlesque with Bizarre and unbelievable acts from an almighty cast. All performed to live rock music. Doktor Haze is back to front the sensational Circus of Horrors, which after 23 years of touring is still shocking all over the World. For the 2018/9 tour we chose to look back and give a nod to one of our previous productions: The Asylum.
The Asylum was a major change in format for the Circus of Horrors and proved to be a great success. In fact to this day it is our most popular show ever. However, this time we have decided to push the subject matter much… much… further, as we dare you to enter the darkest, dankest corner of the Asylum. A place for the criminally insane, run by the criminally insane. A place where there is no hope left and nowhere left to hide… So everyone BEWARE… This year’s show will take place…upon the stage…above the stage…and AMONGST THE AUDIENCE!! BEWARE…
The Hippodrome’s Edwardian evocative atmosphere of the building really is tailor-made for this classic night of fun with Britain’s favourite gothic horror show. There is a fully licensed bar plus freshly made popcorn. Annually the Circus of Horrors plays over 100 UK theatres and this tour has expanded to take in festivals throughout the world including The Fuji Rock Festival in Japan (twice), the Wacken Festival in Germany plus shows in Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Belgium, Argentina, France, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Hong Kong and Moscow where it became the 1st UK Circus ever to perform in Russia. The show also played an astounding 10 nights at London’s O2. This is not the first time that The Circus of Horrors has created history, as it became the only circus ever to reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent and the first circus to perform in London’s West End for over 100 years. The Circus Of Horrors’ appearances on various subsequent TV shows have turned what started as a cult show into a household name – taking the extreme to the mainstream. Its’ TV credits now also boast The X Factor, The Slammer, Daybreak, Fairground Attractions, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Fake Reaction, This Morning, Ant & Dec, The One Show & A Royal Command Performance.
