The historic Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth celebrates 250 years of circus in Great Britain as it marks its 115th year with its all new Summer Circus and Water Spectacular. Britain’s last surviving total circus building stages its brand new blockbuster extravaganza with amazing International Circus Artists from around the world, including the amazing Flying Trapeze, Jaw Dropping Juggling, Dancers, Show Swimmers, Acrobats with mind blowing comedians Jack Jay and Johnny Mac and much, much more.
Great Yarmouth is set to be the centre of a nationwide celebration of circus this summer as The Hippodrome Circus headlines the ‘six cities of circus’ events.
All over the UK events have been taking place to celebrate the 250th anniversary of circus being created right here in England, and none will be bigger than at the historic 115 year old Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth.
Producer Jack Jay has called it an all star cast of world class circus acts saying
“Every year we try to make our shows bigger and better, this year we wanted to make sure it was our best lineup ever, We’ve got sensational flying trapeze artists from Australia and Japan, Olympic quality gymnasts from the Ukraine, and literally the world’s best juggler from Mexico. We cannot wait!”
The cast will also be joined by Sydney Australia born daredevil Sascha Williams who represented The Hippodrome on this years Britains Got Talent making it all the way to the semi-finals, and narrowly missing out on a place in the Grand Final.
Sascha said “ I love performing in Great Yarmouth, and this summer I’m bringing my most daring act yet, featuring stunts previously only seen on TV”
This special celebration show will be hosted by Jack Jay and Scottish comedian Johnny Mac, whos phrase “I’m Enjoying Myself” has never been more appropriate.
Johnny commented “This summer is gonna feel like one big party, we always have so much fun with the audiences that come along, but this will be on another level. If you’ve been too hot in the weather recently, don’t worry I’ve got some buckets of water that will soon cool you down!”
